The people at the heart of our school

Our school is a community of pupils, families and staff, all playing a part in school life.

Our teaching staff, Special Needs Assistants, nurses and clinical colleagues, bus escorts and other members of our school team work together each day to support our pupils to learn, communicate, develop their skills and take part in school life.

We value the contribution that every member of staff makes to our school and the difference they make to the pupils we work with.

Our school team includes:

  • School Principal

  • Deputy Principal

  • Eight Special Class Teachers

  • Special Needs Assistants

  • Bus Escorts

  • Secretary

  • Cleaning Operative

  • Caretaker

Board of Management

Our Board of Management is the backbone of our school. The Board manages the school on behalf of our patron, Enable Ireland, and works for the benefit of our pupils, families and the wider school community.

The Board brings together representatives of teachers, parents, the patron and the local community. Together, they help guide the running of the school and support its development, while ensuring that decisions reflect the needs of our pupils and the characteristic spirit of the school.

The Board also has responsibility for overseeing the school's resources and for ensuring that the school is accountable to pupils, parents and the wider community.

The current Board of Management is serving the 2023–2027 term and includes:

  • Chairperson

  • Principal / Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Teacher Nominee

  • Two Parent Nominees

  • Two Community Nominees

The Board meets at least five times during each school year.

If parents would like to raise a matter with the Board, they can do so in writing to the Chairperson. In most cases, the class teacher or Principal will be the best place to start with a question or concern.
